Urban Art and Media Organisation
Hintergrund der Organisation ist die Förderung von nationalen und internationalen Künstlern auf interdisziplinärer Ebene.
Seit dem Gründungsjahr 2003 veranstaltet der gemeinnützige Verein jährlich ein 4-tägiges Kunstfestival in der Stadt München. Dabei steht das Festival jedes Jahr unter einem anderen Motto, zu welchem die Künstler ihre Arbeiten einreichen können.
UAMO versteht sich als Plattform für Künstler aller Art und so zeigten seit dem ersten Festival 2004 bis heute mehr als 300 Künstler aus über 20 Ländern ihre Arbeiten. Das Festival bringt Kunst- und Kulturinteressierte mit Künstlern zusammen.
Teil des umfassenden Rahmenprogramms sind Heute neben Lesungen und Abendveranstaltungen unter anderem auch Workshops, an denen die Besucher aktiv kreativ werden können.
Seit 2011 gibt es zu dem jährlichen Kunstfestival in München auch die UAMO City Tour, die sich auf lokale Künstler der jeweiligen Städte konzentriert.
Alle vor Ort gezeigten Arbeiten werden beim jährlichen UAMO Kunstfestival zu sehen sein.
Urban Art and Media Organisation
The intention of the organisation is to support national and international artists on an interdisciplinary level. Since the foundation in 2003, the non-profit association has been annually organising a four-day art festival in the city of Munich.
The festival's theme to which the artists can present their works varies each year. UAMO considers itself as a platform for artists of all kinds, and thus, since the first festival in 2004 up till now, more than 300 artists from over 20 countries have presented their works.
The festival brings art and culture enthusiasts together with the artists. The comprehensive supporting programme today includes, besides readings and evening events, also workshops where visitors can become creatively active.
Since 2011, apart from the annual art festival in Munich, the UAMO City Tour also takes place focusing on local artists of the respective cities.
